1. The demonstrations were well done, but as a special education teacher (collaboration) I am unable to make use of the materials and information presented. The Lead teachers, I would imagine, would have found benefits in many of the demonstrations. I found them all interesting.
2. There was an opportunity to work with other professionals, and to participate in doing some more projects.
3. Again, the presentations were nice and I am sure that they may be of benefit. Speaking on behalf of many of the special education teachers, we already had enough work and assignments, due dates, and paper work that had to be submitted and re-submitted.

PLC SHOWCASE RESULTS
#1. Vast variety of resources available to the staff thru research of staff members and their presentations.
#2. Two heads are better than one! It is always good to have an opportunity to share thoughts with those of similar experiences to have other ideas of how to attack different situations.
#3. There are many different ways to increase your knowledge utilizing all facets of modern technology. This will give students the opportunity to increase their knowledge or ability in all subject areas.

Observed Quizlet.com program. Appears that it can be a very useful instrument for implementing learning. I was glad to learn about the program. If I am in a situation where I am assigned to a "Lead Teacher" that uses the program, I will be aware of the program and will be able to follow their directions. I always welcome to have the opportunity to learn something new, and I can see how the program would be an asset, but it is very unlikely that I would be directly responsible for the implementation of such a program in a classroom. 10/31/12
Today we went to Ms. Gladdis room and had her instruct us on the use of Quizlet.net. The operation is a system to pre write tests and exams and it will give you several versions of a test to give to a class or multiple classes. The test can be taken online or by paper. If taken online the grading of the tests will be done automatically by the Quizlet.net software. I am going to try it for both my Am. History and World History classes. Hardest part will be setting it up on Excel spreadsheets first and then typing in all the corresponding answers.

September 26 meeting
At today's meeting which included; C. Gladdis, D. Gibbens, Paul Murray, B.Webber, D. Loya we found the following;
#1. Start putting tests and quizzes on line so that students will have immediate feed back from the tests.
#2. Immediate feedback should allow students to justify learning and continue the learning process and not be held back because of other slower working students that might not be up to their ability.
#3. Continue to share different learning strategies to see what works well.
#4. The ability of students to proceed at different paces through a course.

Learning to Blog
Today 9/5/2012 Brittany McWilliams taught us all how to set up the blog and how to blog for this PLC. The great purpose of this is to teach us how to use the blog for this group and how to set up for use in our classes. This hitchhikes on the idea of our PLC (Using technology to its fullest with our students)
Question #1. What we plan on doing over the next week to contribute to our PLC learning topic?
Answer: Practice blogging each other and use some if possible in our classes.
Question #2. How does this contribute to student learning?
Answer: It will increase our students ability to utilize technology in pursuit of a better understanding of their classes.
Question #3 How will we measure the impact of this weeks work?
Answer: By the amount comments that we (teachers) post and the amount of activity we view for the students.
